"Different" Disney

Are you or someone you know an adventurous eater? Do you like to try new things on vacation? Disney is a great spot for those who like to try new things! They may look "different", but like the old adage: "Don't knock it 'till you try it"!

Fruit Loops Milkshake

This milkshake was found in EPCOT during the 2021 Flower and Garden Festival. It's like packing all of that 90's kid nostalgia into a cold "cereal milk" mixture with, of course, Fruit Loops on top. It was a shockingly delightful drink on a hot day!

Charred Octopus

This charred octopus can be found at Tiffins in Animal Kingdom right next to the entrance to Pandora: The World of Avatar. When I tried this appetizer, I was a little hesitant at first. Surprisingly, it had a good flavor and texture. Mixed with the sauces provided, it was a great overall experience that I recommend any adventurous eater to try.

Rodian Ration

This Disney-fied version of a Jello shot is from Oga's Cantina in Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. This does have alcohol in it so if you're not looking for alcohol, please avoid this snack. This Rodian Ration is a green apple flavor with dried fruit and popping candy on top and has popping boba inside! Included with the Jello mix is Tito's vodka and Dekuyper Pucker Sour Apple. I would definitely try this elevated Jello shot from Ogas! PS- if you go to Oga's, make sure to try the Fuzzy Taun Taun too!

Cheeseburger Steamed Pods- Bao Buns

This creative take on a traditional cheeseburger may look odd, but it tastes like the real thing! These pods are available in the Satu'li Canteen in Pandora at Animal Kingdom. It's served with veggie chips, vinegar slaw, and wait for it... popping fruit boba. The boba with the slaw makes for an "interesting" combination at least. If this sounds like something you'd like to try, go for it!

Spring Rolls

These aren't your typical spring rolls at all! This infamous spring roll cart can be found just outside of the Adventureland entrance of the Magic Kingdom. People seem to either love them or hate them but either way- you've got to try them. The flavors of spring rolls vary by the day and can include pepperoni pizza, philly cheesesteak, buffalo chicken, and cheeseburger. Here's a warning for this "different" Disney snack though- they sell out quickly! Once they open, there's usually a line waiting to grab these yummy snacks.

These aren't all of the different eats you can experience at The Walt Disney World Resort by ANY stretch. Other "different" eats include:

Hot Diggity Dog in Disney Springs- King Dog with a cereal coated bun, spicy peanut butter, banana honey mustard, chipotle berry preserves, and bacon.

Mitsukoshi Department Store in EPCOT- Dried, seasoned, and bagged crunchy crabs and squid.

Cava del Tequila in EPCOT- Black Ant Margarita Rim (yep- actual ants)
