Earworms of Disney World

Have you ever had a song that just can't seem to get out of your head? Well this article is all about them! Reader be warned- you may not be able to read this without Disney earworms for the rest of the day.

#8- The Seas With Nemo and Friends, "In the Big Blue World"

The Seas with Nemo and Friends can be found in the Future World part of EPCOT. This song is sung by the cast of The Seas with Nemo and Friends at the end of the attraction. As you're whisked away to the live aquarium part of the ride, the song "In the Big Blue World" begins to play and continues until the attraction concludes.

#7- (Old) O Canada!, "Canada"

The Canada Pavilion in EPCOT hosted the CircleVision show, O Canada! until August of 2019 that featured famous celebrities and personalities from the titled country. The song that played at the end was long- we're talking 7 minutes long- and was very repetitive. This song was so repetitive that it easily became one of the park's biggest earworms. If you're brave, feel free to look it up!

#6- Pirates of the Caribbean, "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life For Me)"

Yo ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me! We all know the familiar phrase from this Magic Kingdom attraction and if you're on it- it's bound to become your next Disney World earworm. Sure, it may be hard to understand exactly everything that the pirates are singing, but you can bet that the jolly "Yo ho, yo ho" is something that's always familiar. Highly repetitive, lively, earworm.

#5- Journey Into Imagination with Figment, "Imagination"

IMAAAAAAGINAAAATION! The adorable Figment can be found on the Journey Into Imagination with Figment attraction in EPCOT. This attraction features a song that's at the top of EPCOT's earworms- "Imagination". Listeners don't know whether it's the high pitched and nasally voice of the beloved purple dragon or the repetition throughout the attraction, but either way this song will continue to live in your head for the rest of the day.

#4- Splash Mountain, "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah"

My, oh my! What a wonderful day! The ending song of this Magic Kingdom attraction is an earworm that millions have experienced and have loved since it's opening in 1992 (in Walt Disney World). The uplifting and upbeat nature of this song is hard to not have playing on repeat in your head. Ride it while you can though, the attraction will soon be getting a new theme- The Princess and the Frog!

#3- The Enchanted Tiki Room, "The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room"

Joining lovely tropical (and french) birds in a singalong is not something you'd expect to see in Disney World, but here we are! A good earworm is overly repetitive (like the others mentioned prior) and boy, does this song have repetition! You'll find this earworm show-based attraction in the Magic Kingdom next to Aloha Isle so make sure to grab a Dole Whip to distract you from the song permanently being in your brain.

#2- The Carousel of Progress, "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow"

You may have heard this song on recent Walt Disney World commercials as it fits their new marketing campaign. If not, then you can hear it on The Carousel of Progress in- you guessed it- Magic Kingdom. This show-based attraction lasts about 20 minutes and is a great break from the Florida heat, but it comes with a price. That price is hearing the same part of a single song multiple times throughout the show creating an earworm that may never leave you. If you're up for the challenge- go for it!

#1- It's a Small World, "It's a Small World"

If there's one Disney World earworm to top them all- it's this one. This song has been mentioned on several movies and TV shows (including the Lion King) because of it's mind-numbing powers and repetition. You may think you know repetitive songs- but you know nothing until you experience this classic Walt Disney World attraction in the Magic Kingdom. The catchy tune and familiar words will ring in your head until the end of time- so I guess it's good that it's got a good message behind it. :)

Well that's the list of Walt Disney World earworms! Do you agree with this ranking? Is there another earworm that didn't make the list? Let me know!
